At Ballybrook Farm we love showing people our Highland cattle and Highland ponies, as well as what happens on our small, working farm. We love educating people on all things Highland, and also on how we look after the land with regenerative grazing.

There are Highland calves around all year, and usually Highland foals, and there is always the possibility of getting up close and personal with some of the animals by way of Highland Cow Experiences (farm tours), accommodation packages, paint and sip events and for those who really want to record the experience , photo sessions are available with our photographer.

Bree’s Bovine Behaviour

Training Weekend

12th – 13th April
2025

Book early – these fill up very quickly!

This is a 2 day cattle training course where you learn Bree’s modern cowmanship way of thinking about bovine behaviour, so that you can move around them with confidence & safety. You will learn how to be their friend, leader and boss. You will also lean how to halter then in the paddock (second day) and to get them to walk on a lead without dragging them with a tractor.

All this, and only 40 minutes from the centre of Melbourne city,
and 30 minutes from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport.

What else happens on Ballybrook Farm?

There is something for everyone (look below to see), but heck, if you have an idea of something special that you might want to experience here, or a combination of events, let us know – we will likely be able to work something out for you.

Accommodation

Accommodation is now available at “Ballybrook Farm” (or at “Cnoc Dubh Farm” 5 minutes down the road). If you simply want to get away from the hustle and bustle to the country or the bush, or just to be surrounded by nature on a working farm, we have options for you.

From here, you can explore the scenery, wineries and history of the Macedon Ranges – all this and only 40 minutes from the centre of Melbourne and 30 minutes from Melbourne airport.

She teaches Natural Cowmanship around Australia to increase safety (for cattle and their handlers), improve the lives of cattle undergoing training. She can help you make your cattle actually want to be with you.
